The story page provides detailed information about an object, including:
- Images and Videos: Photos and videos related to the object.
- Facts: Important details about the object.
- Description: A detailed explanation of the object.
- Text-to-Speech: Users can listen to the description being read out loud.
- Audio: Playable audio files related to the object.
- Reviews: Users can leave reviews for the object.
- Tips Button: A button for users to leave tips.
Scavenger hunt (quiz mode collections)
When you open an object from a collection that has Quiz Mode enabled in the CMS, the story page can include a scavenger hunt challenge in addition to the usual story content.
Locked objects
If quiz mode is active, you can only open objects that are unlocked:
- The first object in the collection order is always available
- Each later object unlocks after you complete the previous object's scavenger hunt on its story page
If you try to open a locked object directly (for example via a shared link), you are redirected back to the collection with a message to finish the previous object's quiz first.
Starting the challenge
On an unlocked object's story page you will see:
- Start scavenger hunt: Opens a dialog titled Scavenger Hunt with all quiz questions for that object
For each question you may see:
- Question text and optional hint
- An image if the curator uploaded question media
- Multiple-choice options (labeled A, B, C, …)
- An Answered badge after you pick the correct option
Wrong answers are highlighted; you can try again until you select the correct answer. You must answer every question correctly to complete the object.
After completing the quiz
- Next object unlocked: A success message appears and a Next object button takes you to the following object in the collection (if there is one)
- Collection finished: On the last object, a congratulations message appears with Back to collection to return to the collection home view
If an object has no quiz questions configured, it still counts as completed and unlocks the next object automatically.
Where this appears
Scavenger hunt controls appear on the story page only when viewing an object inside a quiz-mode collection (opened from that collection's object list). Opening the same object from the general explore list or tags does not show the quiz UI.
